Apple Pay Eligibility Criteria

Depending on your onboarding information as well as your company structure, we may or may not be able to offer Apple Pay to you. If you see that you are unable to enable Apple Pay, please check the below eligibility criteria.

  1. Apple Pay is only available to corporations, and not to Sole Proprietorships. As such, if you registered to KOMOJU as a sole proprietorship, we will be unable to offer Apple Pay to you
  2. You need to be a Japan-based merchant to use Apple Pay via KOMOJU
  3. You need to be using one of the following integration methods with KOMOJU (and have selected it during initial KOMOJU onboarding):
    1. Hosted Page
    2. Hosted Fields
    3. Woocommerce If during onboarding you selected a different integration method to KOMOJU, such as API or Shopify, Apple Pay toggle will not be available to you at this time.
  4. You need to be fully approved to accept Visa and Mastercard Credit Card payments before being able to apply to use Apple Pay.

Once all above eligibility criteria are fulfilled, the Apple Pay toggle will be available under the "Payment Details" section of your KOMOJU Dashboard. Simply toggle it on to get onboarded to Apple Pay.

Please note that after onboarding to Apple Pay you will still need to do some changes to accept Apple Pay payments. Please check this page for in depth instructions. We are also actively working on adding further support for other integration methods for Apple Pay.
